Kapwamilya
Community, kept close.
Kapwamilya keeps a group's money, memories and people together in one private place. It is simple enough for a volunteer to run, and no payment gateway ever touches the fund.
Or use it in your browser at kapwamilya.ph
Who it's for
Any group that looks after its own.
Kapwamilya began with one high school batch raising funds for classmates in need. It now serves any community with members, a treasurer and a story worth keeping.
Features
Everything a community needs, in one place.
A shared fund people can trust
Every peso is recorded, reconciled and visible to the people who gave it.
Drives and regular collections
Run a goal-based campaign, or ongoing collections like monthly dues and tithes with no fixed target.
Pledges and proof of payment
Members pledge and pay it down, or upload a GCash or bank receipt for the treasurer to confirm.
Reconciled balance and statement
Contributions, disbursements and adjustments roll into one balance with a printable statement. Corrections are made by reversal, so the ledger stays auditable.
Project ledger
Track a project's money line by line with a running balance, each line carrying its receipt or invoice.
Support votes and shielding
Members nominate a case and vote on giving support. Sensitive beneficiary details stay masked.
Personal summary
Each member sees their own year-to-date giving, plus "N of M have given" for the group.
The story of your community
Photos, faces and dates, kept tidy by the people you trust.
Photo and video timeline
A year-by-year timeline of the moments worth keeping, curated before anything is published.
Directory and birthdays
An opt-in directory to find each other, with birthdays so no one is forgotten.
Gatherings
Events with RSVP, a live headcount and optional tickets, shown in your group's own timezone.
Home calendar
A month view and a "this week" digest put what's coming on the front page.
Looking after each other
The conversations and decisions that keep a group together.
Group chat and channels
A main thread, member-created group channels and direct messages, with moderation built in.
Bayanihan board
Ask for a hand or offer one: a job lead, a donor, a ride. Posts can be shared up to a parent group.
Polls and elections
Secret-ballot polls and officer elections the whole group votes on.
Announcements and reminders
Home-screen notices with photos or PDFs, plus birthday, event and pledge reminders by push, Telegram and email.
In Memoriam
A quiet place for those who have passed, with words of remembrance from the group.
Groups within groups
For organizations with levels: national, district, chapter.
Private space per level
Each chapter, district or ministry has its own members and its own fund.
Cascading announcements
Send a notice down as many levels as you choose.
Roll-up remittances
Contributions move up the chain as reconciled remittances, so every level's books agree.
Make it yours
Run it the way your group already talks and works.
Branding and wording
Your name, logo and welcome screen, and editable wording down to what a "member" is called.
Features on or off
Arrange the home page into your own sections and switch optional features on or off.
Roles
Admin, treasurer and curator roles keep the right people in charge of the right things.
Retention you control
Choose how long payment proofs and attachments are kept.
